The purchase story
Eight months of searching. A purchase worth waiting for.
After more than eight months of searching, this investor was ready to find a property he could feel good about buying. He had kept missing out, and the homes he did consider either did not stack up or did not suit what he wanted to achieve. At 33, he was adding a third investment to his portfolio, with a clear brief: a strong location, rental potential and room to explore subdivision and longer-term capital growth. Olivia Gray helped him secure this three-bedroom home at 17 June Avenue, Hamlyn Heights, for $750,000. Set on a 731 m² block, it brought those priorities together in a purchase he was very happy to make after a long and frustrating search.
A property that matched the brief
The appeal went beyond the three-bedroom house itself. The location and size of the block gave the buyer a way to think about both the property’s rental role today and the possibilities for the site over time. For someone building on an existing portfolio, that combination mattered: he wanted a purchase that fitted his plans, rather than another compromise after months of looking.
A firm negotiation and a fresh start
Olivia negotiated firmly to bring the purchase together at $750,000, with settlement completed on 16 July 2026. After so much time spent searching, the buyer was delighted to have secured a property that suited the next stage of his portfolio. Any future subdivision remains subject to the relevant planning requirements, investigations and approvals; rental yield and capital growth are objectives of the purchase, rather than guaranteed outcomes.
